Loooooovely shoes!

Okay, saw these on Tumblr 'cause my friend reblogged a photo of them, and instantly fell in love. Then went to LF Stores in NYC to get them, but ended up getting my Lita's instead. Turns out, I still really really REALLY want these. And they will be worth $200...

They are limited edition Jeffrey Campbell x LF shoes. They're called the "Stunning". Enough said.

I want them so badly. So I'm going to save up. I'm sorry mom, I have to. I have a strong love for Jeffrey Campbell's. Last ones for awhile I promise! :)
Shoes are really the only things that I hardcore splurge on. Most of the time they're worth it. Especially when they're good quality, and super cute! They'll last forever and never go out of style.

Other than that, I usually buy clothes from cheaper stores with most clothes under $30.
Sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do. And these are definitely worth it!

Red Lips!

Went to the MAC makeup store in the mall, and decided to try red lipstick for when I dye my hair light and not red haha. I ended up loving it, so this week I'm going to go back and get the lip stick, liner, and gloss for Bamboozle this Friday :) Weeee!

I've been on Tumblr for awhile (carlyeatworld.tumblr.com) and since I tend to follow a lot of fashion blogs, I see a lot of other blogs that have to do with someone wanting so badly to be thin. I know that there's also a lot of starvation blogs where girls actually track and blog about their weight, what they're eating (or not eating), and everything else. How horrible is that? Honestly. It makes me so upset to see girls, and I'm sure some boys, that unhappy with the body that they were born into. I have to say that I've been through that. I can say though, that I have never gone so far as to even go a day without eating anything. Haha, I'm pretty sure I couldn't. But I have been through the sudden realization of what you actually look like. When I turned 13, that's where I started noticing it. Everyone had always told me that my best friend and I looked alike. I never saw it, but she's drop dead gorgeous, so I didn't complain. This was when we were 12, so as we got older, I started noticing even more that she was a stick, and I, well, wasn't. There were even mean comments talking about how if me and her were a tree, I'd be the stump, and she'd be the branches. I hope I don't have to explain that... Anyways, that killed me. It made me so self-conscious. I tried changing my hair the summer before 7th grade by putting a lot of blonde in it, so much that I was almost completely blonde. I basically hated it so much. I felt so ugly and different from the other girls. They were all so thin, had perfect hair, and I didn't. I was so frustrated. I was also freaking out over gymnastics, and wanting to quit. I couldn't take it anymore. I cried everyday when I got home from school, refused to go to gymnastics, everything. That's when I realized something (with the help of my amazing mom), and that was, if I didn't like something about myself and my life, then I should change it. So my mom made a hair appointment, and I made the decision to take a break from gymnastics for awhile. I was actually starting to become happier. I dyed my hair red because the blonde wasn't working for me, and I had already had brown. I loved it, and I've had it ever since. About a month later, Caitlin had asked me to join the band, so I did, after a lot of convincing. Thank goodness she did, because I don't know what I'd do without it. I found myself, and although I'm still not the skinniest girl ever, and I still get frustrated about how I look, I am definitely not as self-conscious as before. I make decisions that will make me happy. Because if I'm happy, why should it matter to anyone else how I look?

This post is for every girl or guy that goes through this. Because I know that we all do. It's part of life. If you ever feel like this, the best advice I could give is to change something up with your look, and that you're crazy beautiful. I know it's cliche, but it's so true. If someone doesn't like you because of how you dress, how you look, or what you do, then there's no point in associating yourself with them. Don't ever feel the need to starve yourself. You just have to remember that you are so much better than that. And there are plenty of people that love you for who you are. You have to be happy, and there's no way you will ever be satisfied if you end up starving yourself. You are only hurting yourself for basically no reason. Be healthy and happy, and exactly who you want to be, whenever you want to be. And the rest will fall into place.

New Hair and New (or old?) Shorts!

So here I am! Finally posting again after being in LA. I was bored (today is a lazy, barely any makeup kind of day) so I decided to cut my old Urban Outfitters high-waisted jeans into shorts! They were so worn out, and I haven't worn them in forever so I made them into high-waisted shorts. Which are like, my favorite clothing items ever, haha. Also, you can see my more red and not orange hair hehe.

Ignore the crappy photobooth pictures. This will do for now until I sell my Canon and get a new one.

Also, if my blog starts catching on, and if I start to gain more followers, I want to do some give-aways, or set up an ebay account or Etsy or something. I have a lot of old clothes that I don't really wear. So spread the word! :D

Sorry!

I'm sorry I haven't been posting. This past week we were in LA filming for So Random :) and also meeting with some people. I promise I'll find something fun to post about. I wish I got photos of what I wore but I didn't. Ah, I'll figure something out soon! Plus I need to post a photo of my new shade of red.

ALSO, sort of exciting news... Carly might be changing her hair color in the near future :) like, completely. WHAT?!?! Hehe. Now I need some opinions, ideas, and our fans input for this. Here we go...

Hair Problems :(

As some of you probably know, I am always having the WORST hair problems! I always want to change it and try something new, but I never know what to do. It's so hard to find the perfect short haircut, too. And I have yet to find it. I just can't bring myself to do something more daring. And at the same time, I want to grow my hair out :/ it's so tough, and I am terribly impatient when it comes to hair. I want to start wearing my shorter hair more often rather than my extensions, but I haven't gotten my hair done in awhile, so it's grown into a place where I don't like it and it doesn't look good. Hence why I've been wearing the extensions so often.
Also, I would love to change up the color a bit (not a different color, but a different shade of red) so that I'll force myself not to wear the long hair all the time ;) I wish I could change the color completely just because I get so bored often, but that won't be happening for awhile. Gotta keep the red.
Anyways, I am desparate for a super cute/not too short/perfect for my features bob or short haircut! I have been on a search forever and can't seem to find the right cut.

I like both of these, but I'm not sure they would look as good on me as they do on them! If I got the Scarlett Johannson cut, then of course I would keep my side bangs. And for the Katie Holmes cut, it looks amazing on her but I have never had straight across bangs, and I'd be scared of how they would look on me. Also, I would keep the length a little longer than what she has.

I dunno. I gotta keep lookin'!

AHHHH!

I was on Tumblr this morning (carlyeatworld.tumblr.com) and something came up on my dashboard. It was a photo of two dresses. They were so lovely. I went to the original website it was on, and found out that they were original dresses made by designer, Leanne Marshall. She had won Project Runway in 2008. I don't watch the show but I think now I should! Unfortunately, and not surprisingly, I will not be able to afford anything she designs. Not for a long time at least haha. But still! I can dream. They are so beautiful!

Here are the photos of the two dress I saw. They are both stunning, but if I could have one, it would be the one on the left. What about you? :)

Style Icons/Brands/Websites/Stores

Twiggy

Marilyn Monroe

Zooey Deschanel

Sherri Dupree Bemis

There are so many more, I just can't think of any right now. But if I think of anymore style icons I'll definitely post.

Some of my favorite brands/designers are...
  • Jeffrey Campbell
  • Kimchi Blue
  • Chelsea Rebelle
  • Pins And Needles
  • Silence & Noise
  • Sparkle & Fade
  • BB Dakota
  • etc!
I cannot think of anymore right now! :|

Here's some of my favorite websites...
  • Etsy.com
  • Modcloth.com
  • Urbanoutfitters.com
  • Lulus.com
  • Asos.com
  • Forever21.com
  • Americanapparel.com
  • Amazon.com

And here's some of my favorite stores:
  • H&M
  • Forever21
  • Urban Outfitters
  • Hot Topic
  • American Apparel
  • Goodwill
  • Trash & Vaudeville
  • any vintage/thrift store
I only have a few, and it sucks because there aren't really unique shops at the mall, so I'm kind of limited!
Thanks for reading :)

Washington, D.C. Parade

This past Saturday (4/9) we performed on our own float in the Cherry Blossom Parade in D.C. We were playing for a short time, when all of a sudden the car pulling us stopped, everyone jumped out of it, and it caught on fire! It was insane, and it held up the whole parade. But it all worked out in the end, and we got a new car to pull us and everything :P

I wanted to make this post to show the outfit I wore at the parade...

I wore:
  • Dress - Hot Topic
  • Jacket - H&M
  • Tights - Not sure
  • Shoes - LF Stores/NYC/Jeffrey Campbell/Lita's

My new shoes!

They're so cute, right? :)

Makeup!

So, someone had asked me what type of makeup I use, so I answered the question, and decided to bring it over here and post all the stuff I use! :) So here ya go. Super expensive makeup post...

  •  I use Makeup Forever HD in #115
  • I use Korres blush in "Peach"

  • I use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

  • I use (sometimes) Kat Von D eyeshadow pallette in "Beethoven".
  • Cait usually uses a lot of the darker colors.

  • I use Hot Topic's liquid eyeliner. I'm not sure if they sell it anymore though.

  • I use Maybelline Define-A-Line in I think "Soft Black" or "Ebony Black".

  • I use Maybelline Great Lash in I think "Very Black".

  • Lastly, I use Korres Lip Butter in "Quince".

You can find the Maybelline makeup at any drugstore, that's where I get my eyeliner and mascara. But all of the other products, with the exception of the Hot Topic liquid eyeliner, I got at Sephora. It was extremely expensive, but well worth it. I had a $100 giftcard for my birthday, yet I still had like $75 extra for just that small amount of makeup. That's basically how it is at any major makeup store like Sephora or Mac. The makeup lasts a long time, and there are always people that work there that will gladly help you with anything you need so that you get your money's worth.
Thanks for reading, I hope this helped :)
